Unfortunately, Amazon Prime is not available on the Apple TV. There has been a rumor floating around that Amazon is working on trying to build up their Amazon Video app and then bring to the 4th generation Apple TV, but nothing has been set in stone just yet.

Fact of the matter is, why would Amazon want to do that anyway? They’ve already pulled the Apple TV from their “shelves”; they have their own streaming service they are trying to push. Some would say they are shooting themselves in the foot by being the one stop shop for all things, accept for Apple TV and well, that can be frustrating for Apple lovers. In the meantime, if you want to utilize your Amazon Prime account and throw it up on your big screen, you’ll have to use airplay.
