If you have an iPhone, or iPad, and have recently updated your device to the Apple iOS 11.0.2 version, you might be experiencing some issues getting into your Elan g! app. If you are, you’re likely receiving a message that the app can not be opened because the developer needs to do an update.
This is because there is an older version of the app – “g!Mobile 6” – and a newer version of the app – “ELAN 8”.
If you are among those experiencing these issues, follow these 3 simple steps!
- Delete the OLD version of the Elan g! app. You can do this by pressing down on the app until it begins to wiggle about. When you see this happen, tap on the “x” in the top right hand corner of the app.
- Now, open up the App Store on your device, and search for “ELAN 8”. On the right hand side, tap the “GET” icon. The new version will download to your phone.
- Once downloaded, you can tap and open the ELAN 8 app, then enter your user name and password.
