Available October 14, 2014 for only $99, is the new Sonos BOOST! The BOOST is a powerful wireless connection as an alternative to the Sonos BRIDGE. Currently, the BRIDGE needs to be plugged into your router to create the wireless network for your Sonos system. Whereas BOOST will be able to deliver the extra wireless support needed and gets rid of interference while increasing range completely wirelessly for even the most difficult WiFi connections.
The Latest Sonos Update
Last month the major 5.1 update allowed you to set up and run Sonos on existing WiFi networks making it faster, easier and more flexible. Therefore, the BRIDGE in no longer required. You can also utilize BOOST to create the 3.1 or 5.1 surround sound experience. Todo so, wirelessly connect a SUB and a pair of PLAY:1 or PLAY:3 speakers to your PLAYBAR Home Theater setup.
