Smart home control just took a giant leap with Nest and Resolv! Recently Nest announced that they’ve acquired smart home hub startup Revolv. A company who’s expertise is making smart home products talk to one another through an app.
They aren’t interested in selling the product, more so gaining the team behind it. According to the Revolv they will no longer be selling Revolv to new customers. Instead they will continue to participate with “Works with Nest”.
Google bought Nest in early January, then they acquired Dropcam in June, now with Revolv on the team, Nest can find more ways to be the centerpiece of the smart home.
Nest also announced another five partners: ivee, Life360, Pebble, Rachio and SNUPI Technologies.
