AIC helped make another dream come true for the homeowners of this beautiful Hilton Head Island home. Yesterday evening, Jan. 10, 2018, at the CES Mark of Excellence Awards Ceremony held in Las Vegas, Advanced Integrated Controls (AIC) was announced as winner for “Custom Home of the Year $50,000 – $150,000”. We were also announced “Retrofit Project of the Year Above $50,000“.
Last year, AIC was runner up for the Mark of Excellence Awards. Today, we are truly humbled by the award and are extremely proud of our dedicated team!
This project was unique due to the homeowners being a victim of Hurricane Matthew.
Majority of the home’s technology had to be completely redesigned with newly updated equipment. There wasn’t much that was salvageable as the hurricane destroyed a majority of the electronics. The scale of this project required that our team coordinate and communicate with all the subsystems. This ensured that this project would integrate seamlessly, as the lighting and audio/video destroyed an out of date Colorado vNet system.
Removing the out of date vNet system and replacing it with ELAN Automation System with the newest ELAN gSC10 Controller, driving the majority of the home control and automation experience, was monumental to the project.
We hand picked the Mirage Audio System for audio steaming throughout the home. Furthermore, the Lutron Bridge enables the homeowner to gain access to their audio/video and other home automaton subsystems via Siri and Amazon’s Alexa, providing a voice activated control option for our client.
Miraculously, the homeowners dedicated home theater room was unharmed by Hurricane Matthew. However, to ensure the home theater quality, we installed a new Sony VPL-VW285ES True 4K UHD Projector. Overall enhancing the 7.1 Dolby surround sound theater.
