Delete Predictive Text

With the Apple launch of the iOS 8, they’ve added a pretty cool predictive text engine that learns your text habits and favorite phrases then suggests a tailored way of texting and emailing.

It’s been a few weeks and I’ve tried to give the text predictions a chance, but I find it to be more of a distraction. I’m not a text novelist and would much rather type letter for letter, so I had two options – hide the predictions temporarily or disable them all together.

If you want to temporarily disable the feature, once you open a text and pull down on the predictive text bar. It will collapse, but it does take a light touch and took me a few times so don’t get frustrated. If you want it back, just drag the tool bar back up.

Now if you’re like us and want to get rid of the feature all together, just follow a few simple steps.
