How to Get The Most Out of Next Gen Gaming

Is your home theater ready for the launch of the next generation of gaming consoles? PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are arriving in November with impressive specifications. Here at Advanced Integrated Controls, we want to make sure you are getting the most out of your new console.

Gaming in 8K

Not every game upon release is going to provide 8K resolution, but for the ones that do, we want to make sure you can achieve the 8K resolution. In order to take full advantage of both consoles impressive graphics you need to make sure you have two things, the right TV and the right HDMI cable. If your television cannot provide 8K then you will not be able to experience the full resolution of the game. Below is an example of the differences between 1080p HD, 4K Ultra HD, and 8K.

HDMI 2.1, or the new Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable, is an absolute essential. HDMI 2.1 features Game Mode VRR, which will help provide smooth and detailed game play. If your console comes with an HDMI cord, make sure it is 2.1 certified.

Experience the Audio

Your television speakers are not going to cut it. Many gamers choose to utilize headphones, but it can be inconvenient and uncomfortable to wear headphones. Creating an immersive environment with audio is easy with AIC. We can create the audio experience you desire with a customizable solution that is just right for your home theater. Hidden in-wall subs, wireless speakers and impressive sound bars are some of our clients favorite and unique additions.

Give Your Console a Space

Improper positioning of your game console can lead to poor performance and a shorter lifespan. It is important to give your console its own space. Do not stack it on top of other electronics, like a cable box. Staking electronics causes heat to absorb between the units. The console needs space to vent so make sure it has some room on all sides.

The Right Atmosphere

Just as you set up your home theater to watch a movie, many do the same for gaming. The right atmosphere is imperative for a fun and rewarding gaming session. You may find the lights dim and the shades drawn a perfect mix for a relaxing with your favorite game. Lutron is our favorite go-to when it comes to lighting control. Automated Shades and lights provide the flexibility and ease of creating the right ambience of light.

Make it Easy

Advanced Integrated Controls Partners with Elan

Ease of use is one of the most important aspects of any home theater. You can have all of the newest and greatest technology, however, without being able to easily control it, it can be useless. ELAN is a control system that allows you to turn on and off your equipment easily. ELAN isn’t your grandfather’s universal remote, it is so much more. A simple tap of a button, either through app, control panel, or remote, can turn on your television, surround sound, dim lights and draw the blinds.
