Lot 9 Brewing Company, located in the heart of Bluffton, has quickly emerged as a beloved destination in the Lowcountry craft beer scene. Opened during the unprecedented challenges of a worldwide pandemic, the brewery’s launch was nothing short of a bold move, yet owner Walter Trifari and his dedicated team managed to create a vibrant community hub that has become a local favorite in just over a year. With its inviting atmosphere, Lot 9 has successfully hosted weekly trivia nights, live music, and food trucks, all while providing a continuously rotating selection of taps that showcase high-quality craft beers.

As a frequent spot for after-work brews, we seized the opportunity to enhance the brewery’s sound system, with the aim of elevating the overall experience for patrons. Our mission was clear: to create a state-of-the-art audio system that would complement the exceptional beer and service, while also facilitating live performances and interactive game nights. Given that the brewery owners are active participants in daily operations, it was crucial to implement a system that could seamlessly manage various aspects of the venue’s audio, video, HVAC, and security systems from one central hub.

To achieve this, we introduced an advanced Elan control system, which includes an Elan g! System controller, four high-definition Elan cameras, an Elan 8-channel NVR for video recording, an Elan thermostat, and an Elan 8-inch touchscreen interface. Additionally, we incorporated Lutron lighting to enable smart control over the entire space, ensuring that the ambiance can be adjusted to suit any occasion. This comprehensive setup not only streamlined operations for the owners but also significantly enhanced their quality of life, allowing them to maintain control of their business, whether they are on-site or off.

The physical layout of Lot 9 Brewing Company features a spacious indoor area complemented by a charming outdoor patio that regularly hosts food trucks. To ensure an exceptional auditory experience throughout the establishment, we programmed multiple audio zones and installed Speakercraft OE8 Three speakers alongside Speakercraft Subwoofers both inside and outside. This setup allows for clear, immersive sound, enabling live music performances to resonate throughout the entire property. We took great care to clean up the rack system, discreetly installing all speakers, lighting, and cameras in a way that preserved the brewery’s aesthetic charm. The owners can now effortlessly manage the entire venue’s audio and visual environment from the Elan touchscreen or through the user-friendly Elan mobile app.

This project has not only been a highlight for our team but has also fostered a strong relationship with the Lot 9 Brewing Company team. Our collaboration extended beyond technical improvements; we even partnered with them to create a unique craft beer that captured the essence of our shared vision.
