During Apple’s Spring Forward event, Apple disclosed that the Apple Watch will be available for purchase on April 24. You can also get it preordered on April 10. They’ve also dropped the price of the Apple TV.

During the Spring Forward event, Alarm.com was introduced and demoed to show how it can connect to garage doors, locks, lights, video, thermostats, and water shut off. With this app, it will notify the wearer if any of the connected devices are left open or turned on. Pretty neat! You’ll be able to connected to the smart home devices around your house and control them via Apple Watch.

Honeywell Lyric

This smart thermostats app can be controlled with the Apple Watch without having to use your phone. You can set commands to tell it when you’re asleep or when you’ve left your home. You can even program it to recognize when the temperature outside has changed.

Lutron Caséta Wireless

Lutron has a line of smart switches and dimmers that allows you to control lights and motorized shades via iPhone or Apple Watch. This new app will also let you know when you’ve forgotten to shut your lights off, or close your automated shades.
